Biography
Gabriel Ng received a professional diploma of physiotherapy from the Hong Kong Polytechnic University (1984) a master degree in physiotherapy from the University of Queensland (1991) and PhD (Anatomy) from Monash University (1996). He is chair professor and head of Department of Rehabilitation Sciences of The Hong Kong Polytechnic University. His research interests include sports physiotherapy, basic sciences of connective tissue repair, and patellofemoral pain syndrome. He publishes extensively in scientific and professional journals and has received research awards from Australia and the United States as well as the President’s Teaching Award from the Hong Kong Polytechnic University. He is founding fellow (musculoskeletal) of the Hong Kong College of Physiotherapy and vice president of the Hong Kong Association of Sports Medicine and Sports Science. He sits on the editorial board of several international journals including the British Journal of Sports Medicine, Physical Therapy in Sport and Photomedicine and Laser Surgery.
Research Interest
His research interests include sports physiotherapy, basic sciences of connective tissue repair, and patellofemoral pain syndrome.
