Track 1: Physiotherapy Specializations

The field of physical therapy focuses on the treatment of a medical condition through external methods, rather than through surgical or pharmaceutical means. According to the statistics of the American Board of Physical Therapists, the following are the top five specializations within the field of physical therapy.

Geriatric Physical Therapy: Geriatric physical therapy covers numerous issues concerning people as they go through normal adult aging. These include (but are not limited to) arthritis, osteoporosis, cancer, Alzheimer's disease, hip and joint replacement, balance disorders and in continence, reduce pain and increase fitness.

Track 2: Sports & Physiotherapy

Sports Physiotherapy is the specialized branch of physiotherapy which deals with injuries and issues related to sports people. Sports injuries do differ to everyday injuries. Athletes normally require high level performance and demand placed upon their body, which stresses their muscles, joints and bones to the limit. Sports physiotherapists help athletes recover from sporting injuries, and provide education and resources to prevent problems. Each sports physiotherapist usually has sport-specific knowledge that addresses acute, chronic and over-use injuries. Their services are generally available to sports men and women of all ages engaged in sports at any level of competition.

Track 3: Advancements in Physiotherapeutic Treatments

There has been renewed interest in the spondyloarthropathy family of chronic inflammatory Pain medication conditions, which has been fueled to a large extent by the biologic era. Over the period of the past 2 years in particular, there have been several notable advances. First, there have been a number of large, high-quality randomized controlled trials evaluating the tumor necrosis factor (TNF) blockers and conservative treatments such as physiotherapy and non-steroidal anti-inflammatory drugs for use in spondyloarthropathy. Operant behavioral and cognitive-behavioral treatment for chronic low back pain.

Track 4: Experimental Techniques in Physiotherapies

Bone disease in which the amount and quality of the bone is reduced, leading to fractures (broken bones. Osteoporosis produces no pain or other symptoms unless a fracture has occurred. Hip and joint replacement: Hip joint replacement is surgery to replace all or part of the hip joint with a man-made joint. The artificial joint is called prosthesis. General anesthesia means you will be asleep and unable to Post-Operative Pain. Medicine is applied to your back to make you numb below your waist. You will also get medicine to make you sleepy. And you may get medicine that will make you forget about the procedure, even though you will not be fully asleep.

Track 5: Manual Physiotherapy Strategies

Manual therapy was the most effective treatment. Recovery rates after seven weeks in the manual therapy group, physiotherapy group, and general practitioner care group were 68%, 51%, and 36%, respectively. The number needed to treat was 3 that is, every third patient referred to manual therapy would make a complete recovery Neuromuscular Medicine within seven weeks compared with patients referred to continued care by a general Muskoskeletal Physical Therapy.

Physiotherapy is a field of medicine that studies physiological and medical effect of natural and artificial physical factors and develops methods of their application for preventive and Traumatic Brain Injuries; a group of physical methods of treatment and their practical application.

Physiotherapy includes Hypnosis, phototherapy, Arthroscopy, thermal treatment, treatment by mechanical effects. Balneology is an independent section of physiotherapy. Each of them includes a number of treatment modes based on application of one or another physical factor.

Track 7: Women Health & Palliative

Palliative Medicare is an expert in musculoskeletal dysfunction and will work with you to help you optimize function and provide pain relief during this important time in your life. Women and incontinence: Incontinence affects 15 percent of all adults and 26 percent of all women between the ages of 30 and 59. Currently, 15 to 25 million Americans suffer with incontinence. Pregnancy related pelvic girdle disorder occurs in 60-70% of women during their gestation period. The pelvic girdle is defined as the Palliative Sedation and the pubic symphysis (the joint in the front of the pelvis). Up to 40% of women reporting back pain during pregnancy still report pain in the postpartum period. Relatively few women report this pain to their healthcare provider.

Track 8: Neurological Rehabilitation

Neurological physical therapy, Rehabilitation after stroke is crucial because two thirds of patients suffer disability as a result of the stroke. The disability depends on the size and location of the stroke. For example, stroke in the left side of the brain tends to impair speech, comprehension of the spoken word, motor power and sensation on the right side of the body. Stroke in the right side of the brain tends to impair attention, Spinal Cord Injury, and movement and sensation on the left side of the body.

Track 9:  Physiotherapy in Treatment & Care

Physiotherapy plays an important role in managing arthritis. It can help you to maintain independence through improving your mobility, strength and flexibility. Motor relearning theory emphasis on the practice of functional tasks and importance of relearning real-life activities for patients. Principles of learning and biomechanical analysis of movements and tasks are important. Ultrasound therapy is applied using Joint Replacement or applicator that is in direct contact with the patient's skin. Gel is used on all surfaces of the head to reduce friction and assist transmission of the ultrasonic waves. Post-Operative Pain is alternating compression and rarefaction of sound waves with a frequency of >20,000 cycles/second which diagnose the particular nonfunctioning organs and defects occurring in the body.

Track 10:  Physiotherapy Methods and Instrumentation

Instrument Assisted Soft Tissue Mobilizations or Simply IASTM is a new range of tool which enables clinicians to efficiently locate and treat individuals diagnosed with soft tissue Aquatic physical therapy. The technique itself is said to be a modern evolution from Traditional Chinese Medicine called GuaSha. However GuaSha was not used to treat Musculoskeletal conditions but was traditionally applied along meridiens to move the Nociceptive Pain out through the skin. IASTM is a is a procedure that is rapidly growing in popularity due to its effectiveness and efficiency while remaining non-invasive, with its own indications and limitations, healthcare provider.
